Since his youth, John O. Parker, Jr. has been recognized for his creativity and artistic talent. In his earlier years, he specialized in painting watercolors and oils and excelled as a mixed media artist. His innovative approach has garnered him many accolades and countless awards. He has won numerous competitions for creating unique pieces and had the distinct honor of designing a custom piece of jewelry for a prominent Philadelphia jewelry company. His humble beginnings necessitated the creative use of materials. This resulted in him being recognized throughout the country for his one-of-a-kind sculptures and art with recycled, sustainable materials, well before it was a trend. He spent several years in Jamaica, perfecting his craft, building custom homes and outfitting them with his art pieces. His interests are vast and his skills are seemingly infinite. After a lengthy hiatus in ministry, he has returned to his artistic passion in retirement.
